The Superspecialty department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology deals with problems related to the digestive tract and related system including Liver, Biliary system, and the Pancreatic gland. The department caters to the patient-care, in addition as teaching and training to the undergraduate and post-graduate medical students, nursing and paramedical staff, plus research activities.
The department boasts of a well-equipped endoscopy suit and well-trained endoscopy technicians, aided by the nursing and helper staff to meet day to day clinical challenges. All the Endoscopy procedures, routine or complicated are being performed by the well trained Faculty members.
The department has served as an important tertiary care center in north India, for various ailments related to the GI tract and the liver under its jurisdiction. Since over 15 years the department has crossed many milestones in treating these disorders and is a preferred destination to get benefits out of it.

2 Blood vomiting and per rectal bleed
3 Cancers and non-cancerous benign lesions of the digestive system.
4 Malabsorptive states and malnutrition, e.g Celiac Disease and Wheat Allergy etc.
5 Functional Bowel disorders like Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Motility Bowel disorders
6 Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD) like Idiopathic ( Ulcerative Colitis and Crohns Disease ) and specific inflammations due to Tuberculosis, Amoebic, Pseudomembranous colitis etc
