MB Bact - a fully computerized machine for rapid isolation of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and atypical species have been received and would soon be installed.

By conventional methods, TB bacilli takes 6-8 weeks to grow and reports are available after 2 months. By this machine, the results of culture will be available in 15-20 days and drug sensitivity for TB bacilli would be possible. This is the first machine of its kind to b installed in Punjab.

Rapid Lab diagnosis & drug sensitivity pattern will helps in early and better management of TB patients.
