The department is fully computerized to do (a) Routine blood tests (b)
Coagulation test (c) Haemolytic test (d) Bone Marrow aspiration and
reporting. The department gets referrals from the local, neighbouring
cities and mission hospitals. The Haematology lab is the only one in
Ludhiana, qualified to fully diagnose case of Haemophilia, DIC, rare
cases of Leukemia. British consultant Haematologist Dr. R.P. Britt has
helped to set up Immunophenotyping of acute leukaemia and is being
routine done by the department.
