The Physiotherapy department of CMCH was established in mid 60's and is one of
the first in north India. The department how now grown to expand its services
to the growing demands of all fields of health care. The Department objective is
to provide the highest standard of Physiotherapy care to all patients.

Physiotherapy is a dynamic and ever changing field. It is a people-oriented
profession. Physiotherapists are health professionals who evaluate and treat
people with a variety of dysfunctions. They have opportunities to improve the
quality of their client's lives.
Physiotherapy can be defined as an artistic science, for it requires acquisition
of extreme skill to make apt use of all the energies to best of their
potential. Medical has advanced & ventured into various aspect of pains relief,
physiotherapy is one of them. Other kinds of practitioners will offers some of
these treatments as
" physical therapy " , it's important for you to know that physiotherapy can
only be provided by qualified physiotherapists
Therapists examine patient's medical history and then test and measure the
patients' strength, range of motion, balance and coordination, posture, muscle
performance, respiration, and motor function. They also determine
patient's ability to be independent and reintegrate into the community of
workplace after injury
or illness. Next, physiotherapists develop treatment plans describing a
treatments strategy, its purpose, and its anticipated outcome. They provide
services that help restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and
prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients suffering
from injuries or disease. They restore, maintain, and promote overall fitness
and health. Their patients include accident victims and individuals with
disabling conditions such as low-back pain, arthritis, heart disease, fractures,
head injuries, and cerebral palsy.
