This Department
provides the best possible and latest available therapeutic treatment
for all kind
of skin diseases. The department runs OPD daily (i.e. Monday - Saturday) from 8.00
AM onwards. Monday and Friday afternoons are reserved for leprosy
patients exclusively to provide them the required care. Patients
requiring in-patient care in the wards are admitted through OPD/Emergency.
In addition the department
is providing services to the patient suffering from sexually transmitted
diseases (STD) and counseling for AIDS.
Academic activities include undergraduate
teaching, scientific paper presentation in various conferences,
continuing medical education and lectures etc. The department is
planning to start Post Graduation Training Course in Dermatology for
which formalities have been completed . Only Medical Council of
India & Baba Farid University of Health Sciences Inspection is
awaited .
Other clinical therapeutic procedures
being carried out in the department includes electrocautery, chemical
cautery and excision of moles.
