The Association aims to strengthen the bond between the alumni and the alma mater, Christian Medical College. The Association of Medical Alumni, Christian Medical College, Ludhiana is a registered body. All Alumni, since the inception of the MBBS course in 1953 are members of the Association.

The Association has the key responsibility of holding the Founder’s Day celebrations on 24th March, every year. Batches completing the 25 and 50 years of their MBBS course are invited for the reunion every year on Founder’s Day. The Founder’s day celebrations include a morning prayer session followed by a Continuing Medical Education program and a get together and honoring of the members of the Silver jubilee and Golden jubilee batch.

The Executive Committee meetings are held every 1-2 months or earlier in case of pending decisions.

The Association also brings out a Biannual Newsletter “Alumni Xpress” that is mailed to all its members and the local faculty.

The Annual Alumni Awards :

• The Alumni Association honors an alumnus who has served in CMC or outside with great zeal and commitment. The Alumni Lifetime Service Award for the same is given on convocation day.

• For Medical Students, our Alumni in the making, the Association gives the Eileen B Snow CMC Alumni Award for Best All Round Graduate. This award is given to a Student with a commendable record in academics sports, music, theatre and other extracurricular activities.

• The Association is also entrusted with the responsibility to bestow:

• The Batch of 1976 Award for Excellence in Teaching &
• The Dr. V K Satija Memorial Award for Best Clinical Teacher.
