Dental College

The Association of Medical Alumni, Christian Medical College, Ludhiana is a registered body. The office of the association is located adjacent to the Department of Physiotherapy near the Director’s office. All Alumni, since the inception of the MBBS course in 1953 are members of the association.

As per the approved constitution, the Association has the following administrative members. Elections for these posts are held every three years.

The Association aims to strengthen the bond between the alumni and the alma mater, Christian Medical College. The office of the association is open from 8 AM to 5 PM (except from 1-2 PM). The executive committee meetings are held every 1-2 months or earlier in case of pending decisions. The Association has the key responsibility of holding the Founders Day celebrations on 24th March, every year. Batches completing the 25 and 50 years of their MBBS course are invited for the reunion every year. The Founder’s day celebrations include a morning prayer session followed by a Continuing Medical Education program and a get together and honoring of the members of the silver jubilee and golden jubilee batch.

Annually, the Alumni association also honors an alumnus who has served in CMC or outside with great zeal and commitment. The Lifetime Achievement Award for the same is given on convocG`1ation day.

For medical students, our alumni in making, the Association gives the Best All Round Graduate Award annually. This award is given to a student with a commendable record in academics sports, music, theatre and other extracurricular activities.

The association also brings out a quarterly newsletter “Alumni Xpress” that is mailed to all its members and the local faculty.

The association, being a registered body, maintains audited accounts which are presented in the General body meeting held on Founders Day.
